Introducing his first book: The Chiliad Mage
The story goes, as best I can recall it from what I had been told as a child, that my prophecy arrived as all others always have — resting innocuously enough, sharply folded, on my parents’ kitchen table. A prophecy rarely ever communicates anything of any direct value or concern. But not mine… Mine turned my family’s life upside down, splitting it apart for much of those early years, and inserting me into the lives and the protections of the Royal Family.
It read: “From the Inception, as he stands at twenty-one, he will wed the princess, the Divide will crumble, and the nations will mourn the alteration.”
Grae’s prophecy and his unusual magical abilities have set him apart his entire life, although this has come with the benefit of his betrothal to the formidable and lovely Princess Nara. But Grae’s life – and everyone else’s – is upended when he is abducted by the goblin princess, Trewal. She’s following the threads of a prophecy of her own, looking for a person with exceptional magic, the likes of which has not been seen in an eon, in hopes of saving her dying people.
Now they must solve the puzzle of what is killing the goblins from the inside out. Their search will lead them throughout their land, bringing them into contact with magical creatures of myth and legend and eventually uncovering a closely guarded secret that has the potential to save them all. Or end their world.
The Chiliad Mage is the first in a five-book series that explores the magical world of Rheen.
The Chiliad Mage is expected to be available for purchase later this year (2020).
